FREELANCE & CONTRACT 3D ARTIST

During and in-between my jobs, I take on 3D product visualization, logo design and illustrative work using Maya, Keyshot, Adobe Suite, Final Cut Pro, Nuke, Arnold and MentalRay. Clients include: JPL/NASA, Nickelodeon, Bentobox Interactive, Skechers USA, Annheuser-Busch, EA Sports, Lipton, SMOSH and more.

January 2018 - present

3D CHARACTER, STORYTELLER AND LOOKDEV ARTIST

A personal project I am doing on my own spare time. Creating the prototype of my very own game called Keet Racer, a bird racing game!
Duties include:

  • 2D concepts, storyboards, character art

  • 3D asset creation, texturing, modeling, rigging, lighting and rendering

  • Look development and story creation

  • Logos, branding, social media management, web design and game documentation creation

August 2017 - July 2019

3D MODELER AT AEGIS TECHNOLOGIES

• Modeled, textured, UV mapped and created both standard and PBR textures for Unreal engine and VBS using Substance, Quixel, Maya and Photoshop.
• Created documentation and in-house wiki for new processes and trained junior 3D artists when needed.
• Quality checked models and modeled to exactness according to specific calculations and blueprints provided by the Department of Defense.

April 2016 - August 2017

GRAPHIC DESIGNER AT NSI NAILS

Creating Graphic Designs for social media content as well as show events. Product labels and instruction creation. Banners, business cards, flyers and other in house printwork using a large printing press is used. Experience in vendor relations and events. Used Final Cut Pro to create social media and instructional videos, as well as Adobe Premier. InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator are main tools used daily. Client: Nail Systems International

October 2013 - October 2015

ADMIN ASSISTANT & STUDENT ADVISOR AT CG MASTER ACADEMY

Graphic Design tasks included: email campaigns, graphics for social media, website design, print. Worked directly with vendors for events, created flyers, business cards and helped rebrand the 2D and 3D websites to update the look. Curated art galleries monthly, ran blog posts and SEO, and also was the social media coordinator and customer service rep.

Among this, took phone calls and held consultations for future students to guide them on what courses were best for their needs. Developed portions of the 3D Character Art program using my 3D knowledge and experience in education. Organized and kept records for each student, their transfers, handled refunds and tasked others with responsibilities to help enable a better workflow for my growing position, and the positions of others. Ran and hosted several live webinars to interview top artists in the industry to help generate interest in our online school. Main tools used: Photoshop, Jira, Confluence, Slack, Microsoft Office Suite. 

January 2019 - March 2020

LEAD 3D ARTIST AT TURBOSQUID

Started out as a customer service specialist who troubleshot and assisted customers with their 3D files. Did file conversions and fixed any strange anomalies within the files in our online 3D marketplace.

Created the concept of the CheckMate system to bring better quality and instant usability to Turbosquid's 3D marketplace. Made custom 3D work for special case clients. Produced designs for website, banners and other events. 

March 2008 - March 2010

3D LAB SPECIALIST | SUBSTITUTE INSTRUCTOR AT FULL SAIL UNIVERSITY

Responsible for grading, instructing, podcasting and troubleshooting student problems using Maya 2009 on both Mac and PC sides. Taught specifically how to properly model basic objects, UV map them, and texture them as well as how to use mentalRay in an optimal and useful manner. Polygons and NURBS were the main topology types used.

Helped to recreate two 5+ year old courses for the Computer Animation program (shading and lighting and model creation) to help it become more modernized and up-to-date.

September 2019 - June 2020

GRAPHIC DESIGNER AT ITEC ENTERTAINMENT

• Scheduled incoming tasks to artists along with critique and assistance.

• Assisted 3D team with asset quality check and conversions. 
• Created brand documentation and style guides for client deliverables.
• In charge of creating and upholding the graphic appearance standards for the CEO's vision of multi-million dollar projects, including books, logos, presentations and other branding.
